Vex 3
Vex 3 is a precision platform run. A small character sprints through traps, and the clock notices every hesitation. Press Play in the frame, then move.
What Is Vex 3?
Levels are obstacle lanes: spikes, saws, disappearing blocks, and gaps that ask for a jump with a specific timing. You can finish slowly and still learn the room. A fast finish is a separate skill you add after the route is safe.
Death is instant and local. You return to the start of the room or the last beginning, which makes repetition the teacher. There is little story between rooms. The next trap is the point.
Vex 3 belongs to a long series of the same idea. This chapter is the one in the frame. Treat it as a sequence of short exams, not as an open world.
How to Play
Open the frame and click once inside Vex 3 so the player receives the pointer. Press Play if needed. Arrow keys move and jump. Hold the direction as you land so you do not slide into the next spike. Jump late enough that you clear the hazard, and early enough that you still have floor on the far side. If a jump feels random, you are leaving the ground at a different distance each time. Pick a tile and use it as the takeoff mark.
Features
Vex 3 is a trap course with instant retries. Three parts matter.
Short, strict rooms
Each room is small enough to learn and strict enough that a sloppy jump fails. You are meant to repeat it.
A visible clock
Speed is a goal you can ignore on the first clears. It becomes the game once you stop dying to the same saw.
Patterns you can mark
Traps cycle or sit still. A mark on the takeoff tile turns a guess into a repeatable jump.
Tips
Clear a room without caring about time. Then beat Vex 3 on that room with one faster jump, not with a whole new route. Speed on a route you do not know is just a quicker death.
Watch a moving saw for a full cycle before you go. The safe window is usually longer than panic suggests.
Land in the middle of a safe platform. Landing on the leading edge leaves no correction if you hopped short.
When you die, say the cause in one word: early, late, or overshoot. The next try should fix that word only.
FAQ
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in the browser frame on this page. Wait for the host Play control, press it, then use the controls under the frame.
What are the controls?
Use the control named under the player. Click the stage if an input does nothing. Fullscreen expands the frame on a desktop browser.
Is Vex 3 hard at the start?
The opening rooms telegraph the jump. Later rooms stack two traps on the same landing. Learn the first trap until it is dull.
Can I keep a run going after a mistake?
Usually a mistake ends the life or drops the score. Restart in the same frame and test one change.
A Way To Practice
Use the first minute to learn the failure, not to set a record. Play until the same mistake happens twice. Name it in a few plain words, such as too early, too late, too much speed, or the wrong target. The next attempt changes only that mistake.
Keep the frame focused. If an input dies, click the picture once and repeat the same action. Reloading the page throws away the rhythm you just found. Fullscreen helps on a small screen because the hazard is easier to see. It does not change the rules.
Stop while you can still describe the last life. A tired attempt stacks a second error on the first, and then the lesson disappears. One clean repeat is the goal of a short session. Take that repeat, then leave the frame until you want another.
Vex 3 is a memory of takeoff tiles. Mark them, ignore the clock until the room is safe, and only then shave the pause out of the run.
Restart from the same frame after a miss instead of reloading the whole page.
