Run 3
Run 3 is a tunnel runner in space. You sprint along the inside of a tube, jump gaps, and try not to fall into the void. Press Play in the frame, then run.
What Is Run 3?
The path is the inner surface of a square or round tunnel. Gravity keeps you on the face you are touching. A gap in that face is a hole in the road. Jump it, or cross to another face if the build lets that character do so. Falling off is the usual failure.
Characters can change how a jump feels. One may run faster, another may stick a landing, another may change which way gravity pulls. You can beat early tunnels with the default runner. Later gaps are why the roster exists.
Run 3 is a sequence of tunnels rather than one endless blur. When you pass a tunnel, the next one keeps the same idea and moves the holes.
How to Play
Open the frame and click once inside Run 3 so the player receives the pointer. Press Play if needed. Arrow keys run and jump. Hold the direction you want to keep after you land. Jump from the edge of a gap only when you have practiced that edge. Jumping early lands you in the hole. If a character can move to another wall, try it on a wide tunnel before you need it on a narrow one. Click the frame if the keys are ignored.
Features
Run 3 is running, jumping, and gravity along a tunnel. Three parts define a level.
Faces you can run on
The road wraps. A hole on your face may have floor on the face beside it, if you can reach that face.
Jumps with a marked edge
Takeoff position is the skill. The same gap is safe from the lip and fatal from a step too soon.
Characters as tools
A new runner is a new jump, not a costume. Switch when a gap asks for a different airtime.
Tips
Replay a failed tunnel immediately. Run 3 is teaching a takeoff, and a pause long enough to forget the lip undoes the lesson.
Jump late. Early jumps feel safer and drop into the near side of the hole. Late jumps use the lip.
When you change character, run one easy tunnel first. Learn the new airtime before the level that demanded the switch.
If you fall, decide whether the error was the jump or the face you were on. Fixing the wrong one makes the next try look random.
FAQ
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in the browser frame on this page. Wait for the host Play control, press it, then use the controls under the frame.
What are the controls?
Use the control named under the player. Click the stage if an input does nothing. Fullscreen expands the frame on a desktop browser.
Is Run 3 hard at the start?
Early tunnels have small gaps and the default runner is enough. Later holes ask for a later jump or a different character. Stay with one change at a time.
Can I keep a run going after a mistake?
Usually a mistake ends the life or drops the score. Restart in the same frame and test one change.
A Way To Practice
Use the first minute to learn the failure, not to set a record. Play until the same mistake happens twice. Name it in a few plain words, such as too early, too late, too much speed, or the wrong target. The next attempt changes only that mistake.
Keep the frame focused. If an input dies, click the picture once and repeat the same action. Reloading the page throws away the rhythm you just found. Fullscreen helps on a small screen because the hazard is easier to see. It does not change the rules.
Stop while you can still describe the last life. A tired attempt stacks a second error on the first, and then the lesson disappears. One clean repeat is the goal of a short session. Take that repeat, then leave the frame until you want another.
Run 3 is a takeoff you can repeat. Use the lip, learn a character's airtime on an easy tunnel, and then take the hole that stopped you.
